We’re here to help you slow down, so you can go further.
At Safe Space, we are here to provide evidence-based language and practices to navigate the struggles and challenges you face in relationships, at work, school or in life. We work together to understand and challenge any unhelpful beliefs on this journey. We work to regulate our emotions in a healthier and more manageable way, while allowing ourselves to experience every emotion on the spectrum. We work to thrive and not just survive. I work with a compassionate lens, reminding (almost nagging) you that self-compassion is a necessary tool in doing this work.

I am, in essence, a stranger to you, so we spend the first few sessions getting to know each other and gaining a deeper understanding of your presenting concern. As the process continues, we explore the coping strategies that you have been using to discern which ones we want to keep and let go of in our (metaphorical) toolbox. We continue to build on the tools you have and explore newer ones during our time together.
I work with a trauma-informed, culturally diverse lens. This approach focuses on understanding your worldview and unlearning patterns that you don’t align with anymore. The therapeutic room, for me, is not to have a space full of pain, or hurt; its to work through moments of pain and hurt and celebrate moments of joy and accomplishment.
I work eclectically, using tools that best fit your needs and goals. I borrow from practices of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) , Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based techniques, internal family systems (IFS) and Adlerian perspectives.

Even after reading all the right books, listening to thoughtful podcasts, and having heartfelt conversations with people you trust, there can still be a heaviness—or an emptiness—that lingers. I hold space for you to gently explore that gap between the heaviness and the emptiness—the space where understanding, healing, and reconnection begin to take shape.
As humans, we are born with a natural capacity to feel, explore, enjoy, and be present. Life experiences—whether it’s loss, trauma, transition, or cultural expectations—can affect this capacity. When it narrows, we might start to feel disconnected from who we truly are. The further we drift from that sense of inner alignment, the more unsettled life can feel.
I believe that each person knows themselves best. Together, we will work to reconnect with that inner knowing—to make sense of your experiences and understand how culture, community, and personal history shape the way you move through the world. From there, we’ll build a personalized “backpack” of coping tools that you can carry with you—strategies that support resilience, authenticity, and self-compassion in everyday life.
My work is grounded in a trauma-informed and culturally responsive lens, integrating approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), inner child work and externalization, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Gestalt, psychoeducation, and somatic awareness. I also draw from mindfulness-based practices, tailoring each session to what feels most supportive and meaningful for you. In my work with couples, I integrate the Gottman Method, focusing on strengthening emotional connection, building trust, and improving communication through practical and compassionate guidance.
Let’s work together to expand your capacity—to feel more connected, more grounded, and more at home within yourself and your life.
